Nacho Roll

This sounds completely horrible, but it is, just like nachos are originally. :)

Ingredients

  • A bread roll. I use a plain white one, and it’s best if it is a bit soft and fresh. Hard rolls are chewy – hard to eat, and it gets chewier after cooking.
  • Grated cheese. You can buy this in packets, so it’s extra lazy.
  • Tomato sauce. The squeeze bottles are best, again, lazy points.
  • Corn chips.
  • A microwave oven.

Method

Cut the top off the roll about 1cm down (about half an inch), then cut out the inside so the roll forms a cup. Pour in the grated cheese and corn chips.

Squeeze on some tomato sauce on the top, then shove all the cut out bread back in so it plugs it in. Note: the tomato sauce may come squirting out at this point, which means you put in too much sauce. Put the top of the roll back on.

Shove it in the microwave on high power for 45 seconds. If your microwave is weak (mine is 1400W – so it is quite strong), you may need to cook it for 1 minute.

Leave it to stand on a plate for about 30 seconds.

Eat it carefully – it is hot, and you will probably spill melted cheese onto your shirt.

Added bonus: try adding shredded ham or pineapple.
