I got bored and created playlist files for all the radio stations that Internode mirror. They point to the playlist files on the page so should keep updated if the servers get changed again.
This file doesn’t update at all if a station gets added or removed from the list.
In XBMC, you just have to put this ZIP file in a folder it uses as a source, and you can browse into it and play radio stations without extracting the archive. In other players, you have to extract it yourself.
Download the archive.
I have discovered that AUSTEXT is shutting down on September 30th, 2009. Presently, the only over-the-air program guide over DVB-T (terrestrial digital television) appears to be very crippled, only showing the current and next program (when it could show a whole lot more). Seems that some television stations still aren’t learning from their past mistakes about electronic programme guides.
Channel 7 cite the increasing availability of the information over the internet and their website (Yahoo!7) as a reason for terminating the AUSTEXT service.
As a result, au_xmltvgen_austext will definitely stop working at that time, forever.
The page will stay up for posterity’s sake as I believe I took the cake for the most inventive way to get TV-guides into a computer-readable format, and it was a interesting learning experience as my first Python script.
So, I’ve had my Logitech G15 keyboard for a while. However, one annoying thing about it (like other Logitech keyboards), it has the annoying feature of a different socket for the F and J keys, probably intended as hints for if you take all the keys off for cleaning. Unlike my previous Logitech wireless keyboard which had the socket rotated 90 degrees, the G15 has a small plastic key/guide which means you have to insert the F, U, J and H keys upside-down if you want to use the Dvorak keyboard layout instead of QWERTY (because you can only seem to order Dvorak keyboards online, at great expense).

This is a diagram of the G15’s key sockets, looking straight down. The one on the left is a normal key, while the one on the right is for a F or J key. I didn’t use a photo here because my keyboard is so horribly dirty and a close-up shot of the socket makes me ashamed…

You can easily scrape off the key/gude with a flat-head screwdriver. You just have to lever the screwdriver up and down a little bit and that key scrapes right off, allowing you to put in keys from either type of socket. Only a small amount of plastic needs to come off, and you don’t have to push very hard.

The end result is a G15 without any upside-down keys. There’s no disadvantage to doing this to your keyboard, and it’ll continue to work even if you switch your keyboard back to QWERTY again.
There’s a new domain for this site: micolous.id.au. lz129.concreteairship.com will hang around, however it’s depricated.
I’m now moving all my old content over to Wordpress now. This means that it all is nicely managed through there, and there’s less ugly HTML pages. I’ve put on a new theme, it’s based on “fSimple”. I’ve made some changes, like removing the footer, making the header stick, making the page wider, and changing all the colours. It’s a bit messed up, but it’s different.
I’ve also moved across to lz129.concreteairship.com. Hindenburg.
